POOL SEASON 2011 - 2012

SQUAD FOR 2015 / 16. STILL UPDATING

REID ANDERSON - GOALKEEPER.

Reid was spotted playing for Carradale in the West of Scotland League, and was signed to add depth to our squad in preparation for the 2014 / 15 SAFL Premier League season. An experienced goalkeeper, Reid has exceptional qualities 'between the sticks', cool under pressure, great shot stopper, accurate kicker, good across the box and is decisive in his decision making - an asset that brings composure to the back four. All in all - a good all-round goalkeeper.

CRAIG LAMONT - GOALKEEPER / CENTRAL DEFENDER

Craig is a tall lad who was signed as a central defender, but soon became a fine young goalkeeper in the SAFL Championship winning sides of 20i2/13 and 2013/14. Craig is a good shot stopper, a great kicker of the football and is blessed with the physical attributes to dominate his box. A versatile player in a number of positions, who although number two in the present goalkeeping situation, still has plenty of time to find his natural position in a side which he offers versatility in abundance.

No2 LORNE ROBERTSON - FULL BACK

Lorne has determination in abundance to add to his main qualities, the height and strength that he brings to the back line. Likes nothing better than to gallop forward and send the ball into the danger zone, if he succeeds in adding accurate distribution to his overall game, he can go on to become a prominent defender in the team set-up.

No3 KEITH MITCHELL - FULL BACK / MIDFIELD.

Keith is comfortable on the ball and has the ability to turn matches. Uses the ball well and has the uncanny knack of finding space when playing on the wide of mid-field. Looks casual, but is clever in possession and can easily cause havoc when moving forward. Defensively sound with a good left peg.

No4 PAUL GRUMOLI - CENTRAL DEFENCE / MIDFIELD

Proficient in a number of positions, as club captain he is the beating heart of the team. Energetic and enthusiastic, he leads by example and is the driving force behind team effort. Strong in the tackle and exceptionally good in the air for his stature, he is an all-round, play anywhere type of footballer.

GRANT GRANT - SWEEPER / MIDFIELD.

Grant is a gifted footballer, and, as such can used in a number of positions to compliment the needs of the occasion. He has exceptional vision and is clever in possession of the football. Recently employed in the 'sweeping' role, when tactics demand he slots in perfectly behind the back four and brings composure under pressure.

GARY GRUMOLI - STRIKER

Gary is a player with an eye for goal, a priceless commodity in any football team. Normally the team's top scorer, like any striker he is a confident player who takes up good positions in and around the box. Always available for a shot at goal, he is not one to let missed opportunities distract from his overall game - that of adding more goals to his personal tally. A good front runner who is always a threat to defences

FRASER WYLIE - MID FIELD

Fraser's favourite slot is wide left midfield, although he has played in the centre of the park and at left full back - a position his father Finlay made his own in the late 1970s and early to mid-1980s Always good for a goal, Fraser is quick across the ground, has an educated left peg and is tenacious in the tackle. A valued member of the playing pool for his all-round versatility.
