Bus breaks down on way to cup game against Inverclyde

The team set out from Campbeltown to catch the Cal-Mac ferry from Tarbert to Portavadie on the Cowal shore of Loch Fyne. The intention was to travel to Kirn near Dunoon and catch the Western Ferry to Gourock. No sooner had the team arrived in Portavdie when the bus developed steering trouble, which soon led to complete failure of steering power. The opportunity to get back to Tarbert became an impossibility, as the Cal Mac ferry had sailed for Arran and wouldn't be back until 4pm in the afternoon.

First things first of course, so the breakdown was reported, the league and Inverclyde informed, this before time was spent arranging a second bus to pick us up at Tarbert around 5pm. The club was now looked at spending the next 5 hours stranded at Portavadie with only the sheep for company - according to reports - the sheep had a strange look on their faces and certainly felt threatened for the first time in their lives.

Arriving back in Tarbert, the team traveled home a little tired and worse for ware, but no sooner had they succeeded in getting back - when the relief bus also broke down. Maybe someone is trying to tell us something !
